Nearly 1200 entries came to Devils Lake from across the state to compete in the 25th Annual Jr Duck Stamp. ND is second only to CA for the number of submissions and the entries are incredible! NDNRT's Kathy Kirschman was one of five judges that had the privilege and challenge of paring the wonderful works down to the one the will represent ND in the national competition when it's held for the first time at the Heritage Center in Bismarck next month!

They were the game changers that brought honor to ND and a smashing demonstration of what hard work can culminate in! They exemplify the definition of the Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award. Let's encourage Governor Burgum to honor these record-setting ladies with the rank of Colonel, in addition to their Olympian accomplishment!

General Mills and its subdivision Annie's is on their way to greatly increasing organic agriculture in South Dakota with the acquisition of the Gunsmoke Farms--which they also intend to have 3,000 of the 53,000 total acres turned into pollinator habitat.
